Story
Two and a half months ago I was diagnosed with terminal bowel, liver and lung cancer. This came as a huge shock as I had no symptoms. I have never smoked, or drank, exercised regularly and lived a healthy lifestyle and was lucky enough to enjoy good health. There was no history of cancer in either side of the family, so to receive this diagnosis turned my life upside down. I then became very unwell and was hospitalised before being admitted to the Duchess of Kent Sue Ryder hospice for three weeks, which turned my life around. I am still receiving ongoing visits from them. Their kindness, care and concern, is remarkable. I would like to raise funds in order to help others who might find themselves in a similar position.
