Y'all know me - I'm always honest.

When my wife suggested taking part in the Palace to Palace bike ride, I thought "cool, I'm always up for an organized ride." The cause wasn't something I'd thought much about. Then I looked into it...and can't deny how moved I was.

The courses offered by The Prince's Trust (the folks running the Palace to Palace ride) help young people aged 11-30 develop life skills, get ready for work and access job opportunities. Quite simply, this means supporting them to find work - because having a job or running a business can lead to a more stable, fulfilling life. 

My job running a team of analysts means I know a lot about how people develop models and assumptions to justify claims. It also means that when they claim to have returned £1.4 billion in value to society through help for young people over a period of ten years, I can see the value of every dollar donated.
