Thanks for taking the time to visit my page.
This is me and my retired guide dog, Upton, He was a guide dog for my pal Drew for over 8 years. He is now 13 years old and enjoying his well earned retirement in the sun. Guide dogs need to retire at a certain age for their owners safety. Sadly at this time Drew is still waiting for a replacement guide dog. Funding, COVID and the time taken to train and select the right dog for the right owner have all had an impact for Drew. During this period I have come to truly appreciate the importance of a guide dog to a blind person. A guide dog is not only a way of navigating through the pitfalls of the daily life we all take for granted, but they are a constant companion. I appeal to anyone and everyone to please help me support this worthy cause and help me raise money through my cycling the Etape Loch Ness on Sunday 23rd April. Thanks, Peter & Upton.
