A Little Less Strictly · 14 March 2020

The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospices award-winning (A Little Less) Strictly Come Dancing event in association with The Malcolm Group is the most glamorous event in the hospice's event calendar.

Story

Despite the other things I've been involved with, anyone who really knows me will know that this is as far out of my comfort zone as I am likely to get...  I will actually be DANCING IN PUBLIC!

I have been asked to take part in the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice, flagship event of the year, "A Little Less Strictly".  The format of the evening is very similar to the real Strictly on TV in that they take a bunch of amateurs, pair us up with dance professionals then make us compete for the Glitter Ball.  It is a fantastic event which I have attended on a couple of occasions as a spectator and it raises a huge amount of money for a wonderful cause.

I need to raise a minimum of £5000 as part of the event and I hope to do a sizeable amount of that via corporate sponsorship if possible.  There is no way I will manage to raise all of it this way unfortunately so I have set up this page to ask family and friends to help me reach my goal.

I have been paired up with the lovely Leanne Docherty as my dance partner / pro and although it is very early days, the training is going well.  She is putting me through my paces that's for sure :)  Dancing really is my biggest fear as I am the guy who can't even Dad Dance well at all.  Any dance move i make just looks awkward so poor Leanne has until the 14th of March to pull off some kind of modern miracle.

Any amount you can spare will be massively appreciated by myself, Leanne and the incredible hospice charity. Help me hit my target then pray that i am not "that contestant" that everyone just quickly wants to forget :)

Thank you all so much for your support
