I am planning on cycling from Whitehaven to North shields in memory of my mum, Anita, who sadly passed away last year from a heart attack.

The coast 2 coast is a 140 mile cycle route across the country and is normally done over 2 or 3 days. To make it more interesting I will be doing the full distance in 1 day. Currently the furthest I have ridden in a day is 40 miles, so I don't expect it to be easy.
