Story
Following on from storming the Hastings Half Marathon last year, I am doubling my pain and running the London Marathon this year. I am running for Beating Bowel Cancer, a a leading UK charity for bowel cancer patients, working to raise awareness of symptoms, promote early diagnosis and encourage open access to treatment choice for those affected by bowel cancer. Both my Dad and my uncle have had brushes with this disease, and I want to do as much as I can to raise funds in order to help others affected by bowel cancer.
For every one of the 35,000 people running the London Marathon this year, there will be someone somewhere in the UK who will be told they have bowel cancer. Only around half of those will live more than 5 years.
On top of helping a very good cause, your donation will inspire me to damage myself physically & psychologically, which should hopefully amuse my friends and family. Remember: I'm running this marathon so you don't have to, so please give as generously as you can. D-Day is April 17th, 2011, so please come along and laugh at me on the marathon course if you can.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
