Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

For those who know me will know that I'm a right lazy sod when it comes to exercise. The thought of running a half marathon is not high on my list of ways to have a good time. But then I think of why I'm doing this...

In 2010, my mother in law Marg was diagnosed with Myeloma. For those who have never heard of Myeloma before, the only words you can use to clearly describe the disease are Bone Cancer.

Sadly, in January 2012, Marg lost her battle to this terrible disease. We as a family were robbed of an amazing, funny, kind, mischievous and loving woman well before her time. She was more like a mother to me than a mother in law. Not only that, she was a great friend too with a wicked sense of humour. I miss her all the time and I'm so thankful that she was a massive part of my life. I only wish my son Eli could have met her.

Please donate whatever you can, even if it is a couple of quid. Let's make sure that families don't lose their loved ones to cancer ever again.

See you at the finish line.

Cheers

Peter
