Story
After the completion of the RideLondon 100 a couple of years ago with my brother Paul and successfully collecting sponsorship for Sue Ryder, I thought it was time I competed again to raise money for this great cause.
Mum spent her final days with the Sue Ryder hospice in Nettlebed during which time the nurses provided care and support to ensure those final days were as comfortable as possible for her. I can't speak highly enough about the organisation, the kind people and the way they care for patients.
As a way of supporting Sue Ryder I will be competing again in a couple of tough cycling events, firstly L'Etape Du Tour on the 19th July (http://www.letapedutour.com/ET1/us/homepage.html) which is one of the stages from the Tour de France (usually most challenging) for amateur cyclists and again in the Ride London 100 on 2nd August following the London Olympic road race route as part of the Sue Ryder team, with a view to pushing myself around the course as fast as possible breaking my previous best time of 5 hours.
I know you all get bombarded by emails and demands for sponsorship so I appreciate any amount of donation, large or small for this great cause.
Many thanks
Peter
