Story
I'm taking part in the Positively Parkinson's Swim Challenge to raise awareness and help people with Parkinson's adjust to life after their diagnosis, have a positive mindset to face the challenges ahead, plus raise funds for Cure Parkinson's.
Parkinson's is largely controlled through medication and Cure Parkinson's, a leading Parkinson's medical research charity, is totally committed to slowing, halting and reversing the condition.
To compliment medication, exercise plays a key part in an individuals management plan which motivates determination and a positive attitude to live the best life they can, through being active, confident, empowered and positive.
The Positively Parkinson's message is very clear: don't let anything deter you from reaching your full potential, whatever the circumstances; don't wait for bad things in life to go away, instead face the challenges head on; challenge your comfort zone, be grateful for what you have and above all, have FUN and make the most of everything, with the support of a caring community.
That's why I'm taking on the challenge. Thank you for your support.
