Story

At the end of April 2019 Tony Walsh and Peter Edwards will be walking 156km of the Portuguese Coastal Camino (A Guarda to Santiago). Both walked the English Camino (112km) last year and return this year for a new challenge....both in their 69th year and Peter recovering from a hip replacement.

This year we are walking for Sands (Stillborn and Neonatal Death Charity). Our aim is to support this charity and also walk in the memory of Iris and Grace Perkins who are both very close to our hearts (for more information about Iris and Grace visit www.justgiving.com/fundraising/irisrose).

We aim to cover on average about 15 miles a day. That’s one mile for every baby that is stillborn or dies within 4 weeks of birth in the UK. Sands say ‘The death of a baby has a profound and lasting impact on parents and the wider family. We know this from the many voices we have heard and the thousands of families we have supported over the past four decades’.

Please support our efforts and ensure we achieve our target by donation on our Justgiving page. Thank you
