We support people ill from asbestos to improve lives of those with Mesothelioma

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am cycling in the Ride 100, a bike ride (of 100 miles) following the Olympic 2012 road race route from the Olympic Park, through London and Surrey and finishing on the Mall. I will be on closed roads with around 25,000 other cyclists, will be climbing the notorious Box Hill and need to keep the pace up as there is a "sweeping" of the slow-coaches!!

The number of deaths from asbestos exposure continues to increase every year, with over 2,500 each year from mesothelioma alone. This, and other forms of asbestos disease have a devastating impact on sufferers and families. I am supporting HASAG, who provide help, advice and support for those effected by asbestos disease. All money raised will not only help the amazing work done by Hasag but also go towards research into treatments and hopefully a cure.
