Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
For Christmas 2022, Jane entered me in the ballot for the London Essex 100 cycle ride taking place on Sunday 28th May, hopeful that I might be allocated a place for the event. In March, I got the great news that I had been successful, so then I realised that I needed to get some miles on the bike !
100 miles is not straightforward. In fact it will likely take me around 5 and 1/2 hours, and I'm not sure how easy it will be to walk the day or two after... I'm hoping it will not be too wet or windy, but given that the weather this Spring has been so unpredictable, who knows what I'll be facing !
When we chatted about making the ride worthwhile, Jane and I decided that we would like to support The National Autistic Society. This charity aims to transform lives and change attitudes to help create a society that works for autistic people. It's a cause that means a great deal to our family and friends, so I hope that you might consider supporting me in this fundraising effort.
Every penny counts - thank you so much for your generosity.
Pete (and Jane, who will not be in the peleton :^)
