Fighting for Fragile X!
At some stage, everyone that cares for a loved one
with a learning disability will have had to gear up and fight for what
they want…
Fighting for recognition. Fighting for resources. Fighting to get through every day.
Nothing is ever handed to you on a plate. From
securing a diagnosis, proper healthcare, accessing appropriate help and finding a supportive and nurturing environment, there always seems to be a battle somewhere along the line…
I know. I live it...
That's why I’m now ‘throwing my hat into the ring’ to raise funds
to support the fabulous work of the Fragile X Society.
On the 20th November this year, in front of 500-600 people at Suffolk Show Ground, I will be taking part in a charity boxing match to
raise funds for Fragile X.
Full contact. No pulling punches. I will be literally ‘fighting for Fragile X’!
Fragile X is the most common inherited cause of learning disability. It can cause a wide range of difficulties with learning, as
well as social, language, attentional, emotional, and behavioural problems.
The Society doesn’t receive any Government funding and relies completely on donations, so please do give generously.
Thank You!
Pete
