Dear all my wonderful friends, colleagues, acquaintances and people who stumble on this page....

My Mother was recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer which came as a nasty shock to me and I am sure it did to her....however being the amazing person she is you would never know as she is focusing very much on remaining positive at this hard time and looking how to bring some good from the situation. 

So.....myself and a group of family members are having a 'Wig Party' where we are all getting our heads either shaved completely or cut very short (for the girls who have rather more hair than me!) This is to show solidarity and give support to Mum as she will be starting her sessions of chemotherapy soon after this party. It is also a great chance to raise much needed funds for the great charity Macmillan Cancer Support.

It's very rare that I ask for help with anything in life but I am now and I would REALLY appreciate it if you could use this Justgiving page to give what you can to this amazing charity which gives a whole range of support to all those affected by all forms of cancer. Their work is priceless but they do rely on charitable donations to keep doing it.
