On Friday 16th June 2023, myself and 4 others will be aiming to complete the National Three Peaks Challenge. This involves climbing the 3 highest peaks in England (Scafell Pike 3209ft), Scotland (Ben Nevis 4409ft) and Wales (Snowdon 3560ft), all within 24 hours.

The total walking distance is 26 miles and the total ascent is 11,178ft.

We are walking in memory of Mick Bonsall, David Denton, Bo Jenkins, David McDonald and Alan Worthy and have chosen to raise money for Ashgate Hospice, a charity which is extremely close to our hearts and one that helps and touches the lives of so many people in and around Derbyshire.

I'm sure that everyone who reads this knows a family member, friend or colleague who has used Ashgate at some point, or may need to use them in the future. I'm also sure you're more than aware of the fantastic work they do in supporting the whole family during the most difficult times they will ever face.

As well as caring for your loved one, Ashgate ensures that you and your family get the support you all need, both practically and emotionally.

We appreciate and acknowledge how tight people's finances are right now, but any donation, no matter how small, would be gratefully received by us and Ashgate Hospice.

Knowing we have your support will help in motivating and encouraging us to complete this physical and emotional challenge.
