Hi.

As you may know, my Dad has Alzheimer's. Its a horrendeous illness that has transfomed my fun loving, full of life father into someone who is getting more and more confused, and his memory of every day life is diminishing rapidly. 

My father's illness will never improve but only get worse, as there is no present cure for this condition.

The medication and help that my father has had, up until recently, has slowed down the rate of dementia,and it is the continuing research into this condition that will help families in the future.

Therefore on the 6th March 2011, I am running the Berkhamsted Half Marathon for my Dad, John, and for  all those families in similar situatuion.
