Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In May I will be volunteering for 10 weeks in southern India. This is headed by the Department of International Development (DFID) as part of their International Citizen Service (ICS) programme. That brings young
people together to fight poverty and make a difference where it is needed most. I’ll be working
alongside volunteers from India , on a project that works with communities in India to enable them to build a sustainable living and in control of their futures which in turn empowers them and gives them an opportunity to live a fulfilling and happy life. Without poverty and injustice.
ICS works with communities that have specifically requested their help. It also aims to inspire young
people in the UK and overseas to become active citizens who are passionate about long term
community development.
I need to raise £800 for Raleigh International who are one of the respected development
charities that deliver ICS. This will allow them to continue to bring about positive change in the
developing communities where they work. You can check out Raleigh International website and see the amazing they do

I will be working together with local communities and young people in the following areas; providing access to safe water and sanitation, protecting vulnerable environments and building resilient communities . I will be working with communities to help improve the community by raising awareness of hygiene and sanitation issues. Building toilets in rural areas and setting up community groups and run training sessions around disease prevention and hand washing. As well as working with farmer groups to help install compost bins to promote the benefits of using sustainable agricultural methods and to protect the environment.
Any contribution you can make, will make a huge differences to these communites and help change lives. No amount is to small. Join the fight against poverty and lets make this change TOGETHER.
