Story
Candy Jewell, Kim Scutchings, Matt Figes and Ashley Jewell are...
THE PEPPERCORNS!
and together we are running the Bideford Bay 50 fundraising for The British Heart Foundation in memory of Kim's dad who died of a heart attack 9 years ago.
In Kim's words "My life has never been the same since that day which is now 9 years ago. It feels like only yesterday still and I grieve for him every day. He is still very much a part of my life which is why I want to run my first ever ultra marathon in his honour as I know he will be with me every step of the way. "
Candy, Matt and Ashley are very proud to be able support Kim and run the 50k together for her dad.
So please dig deep and donate – this a big challenge, a long distance, an ultra-marathon when none of us have even run a full marathon! Are we crazy? I think so! What better motivation do you need!
Why the Peppercorns you ask? Well pepper was used in a figurative sense to mean “spirit” and “energy” which today has been shortened to pep. It somehow seemed quite apt (and we liked it!)
