Story
"Memories are timeless treasures of the Heart"
Our Nan, Margaret June Pepper was a Kind, Caring, Supportive, Loving Person, who was always there and played a massive part in our lives.
In 2020 she was sadly diagnosed with early-onset Dementia, within a year her condition worsened and she was moved to Southfields Care Home (In Spalding) where she received 24/7 care from an incredible team.
Our family was utterly heartbroken with her diagnosis, knowing what was happening to her and what was to come. Every day was different, some days she was 'Our Nan', others she was emotional with a sense of confusion, but she never lost her sense of humor. Even in her final weeks, she would have us all in fits of laughter.
In 2021, she welcomed her first great-grandchild and would continuously interact with her when she would visit or 'chat' via Facetime, both smiling and giggling at each other.
We have so many fond memories and are eternally grateful for all the time we had with her, and our Granddad.
She was more than just a Grandparent, she was a 'Mother', a 'Guardian', a 'Potty-Lady, a 'Great-Nanny,' but most of all, she was and always will be, 'Our Nan'.
On Saturday 7th October, we will be taking part in the Portsmouth Memory Walk 2023. Please donate what you, all funds raised will go towards the ongoing Support, Research, and Care provided by the Alzheimers Society.
Thank you

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Dementia is the UKs biggest killer.
Someone develops it every three minutes and currently, there is no cure.
We know it is scary but we must confront the biggest health & social care challenge of our time.
We owe it to the 900,000 people across the UK currently living with dementia to campaign for change, whilst providing vital day-to-day support.
By taking part and raising money, or donating to someone who is, you are helping to do this.
Once you donate, JustGiving sends your money directly to Alzheimer's Society you don't need to do anything and it's the most efficient way to fundraise. #MemoryWalk
