Story
As a part of my recovery from breast cancer I took up running and discovered (much to my horror) that I loved it! This year I've decided to run the London Parks Half Marathon in memory of my mum, who towards the end of her life, suffered from a rare neurological condition known as Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD).
It would mean a lot to me if you would give money to the PSP association; a national charity providing support and information to people living with CBD (and a similar condition known an PSP), while funding research into treatments and ultimately a cure. They aim to improve the lives of everyone affected by PSP and CBD.
The years that my mum suffered from CBD were very difficult and traumatic for her and my family. CBD is a degenerative disease which progressively robs the individual of movement - in my mum's case this meant that she was unable to move or speak at the end of her life. Any research that leads to a cure for CBD enabling other families not to have to experience this terrible disease would mean the world to me!
