Story
My mum has recently been diagnosed with a type of blood cancer, CNS Lymphoma, and has begun intensive treatment. There isn’t much we can do from afar while my mum’s in hospital, however, her great friend Karen Millward and I have decided to shave our hair in support of my mum’s inevitable hair loss. My mum, Karen and I are hoping to shave our hair at the same time, but this will be dependent on when my mum is discharged for her break between treatment.
Karen’s raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support in a separate Just Giving page: https://bravetheshave.macmillan.org.uk/shavers/karen-millward?fbclid=IwAR2uvdkIDjlHWYkwW2GpgIHE30CvJrIXduKa7erGX8Fz50EsQfMGVx0FBrQ
I’m also hoping my hair will be good enough to donate to Little Princess Trust, a charity which makes wigs for children who have gone through treatment for cancer or other illnesses and have lost their hair.
I’ve chosen to raise money for Blood Cancer UK as they are currently funding research into the covid vaccine as it still isn’t known how effective it is for people with blood cancer.
If you can spare just a couple of pounds, it really would mean the world! Thank you x
