Story
Kelsey Smart was a caring, chatty and popular pupil in my current Year 1 class. Unfortunately beautiful Kelsey died on Tuesday 28 February 2012 after falling ill with Group B meningococcal meningitis, bacterial strain of the disease taking her life so quickly. Her parents made the brave decision to donate their daughter's organs. Kelsey's heart has already been given to another child, while five other children will also be helped.
After being asked by my Head Teacher to do this sky dive I did initially say no way because it is a something I have always seen as a massive fear. The charity Meningitis UK have been so supportive to the family of Kelsey and it is so important to support them now and help them raise money to fund cutting-edge research to find a preventative vaccine and save thousands of lives like Kelsey’s in the future.
So I am facing my fear for little Kelsey!
