In memory of my late wife Ruth I am retracing the steps I took as a wide eyed school boy back in 1965 as part of the first team of school children to walk the Pennine Way, when it first opened! She was very gracious when I, often, recalled tales of my adventures on the Pennine Way, hearing about it frequently over the 49 years we were together!! I am planning a 3 week period July/August to complete this trek.
