Art for the ❤️. A challenge with a difference to raise awareness of the heart condition / disease my eldest son suffers with. Repetitive myopericarditis. My objective is to raise awareness of this disease that so many suffer in silence.  Hoping to also raise funds to go towards research for this disease. This will take place on the 9 th of September to the 14 th of September.

Yes! It isn’t far away but that is me. Everyday is a gift and important to make the most of the present moment. The support has been truly amazing. There are numerous hotels that have sponsored this journey, The Art Bank, The Greatest Hits Radio,  The National Wedding Fair in Olympia. 

I will be travelling with my ‘Signature Canvas’ and will be stopping at different places each day as I  do a round trip working my way to Dalbeattie from the South of England, finishing at The National Wedding Show at the Olympia, London. I am working my way to the Art Bank In Dalbeattie. A haven for all creatives. Where I stop I will be meeting with groups of people who are invited to help me create the canvas. At the end I will fine tune it and turn the piece into a fine piece of art to then be put on a silent auction. All of the funds will go to the British Heart Foundation.  To hopefully advance in the research to help so many who suffer with this life changing disease which is a devastating challenge for many and so hard for families and loved ones to witness. 

What is a Signature Canvas? It is a canvas that I start creating and I get others to help me continue to create it. It is âne fort from everyone which creates the most wonderful dynamic on a canvas. This gives an opportunity to show how everyone can work together and help each other just from the smallest of gestures through a paintbrush, It is for the creative and non creative, it is for everyone .It’s all about helping heal the heart through Art. 

Over this week I will also be creating an individual canvas each day to capture the energy of the place where I stop. These pieces will also be auctioned and prints can be made from all the artwork created on this challenge.
