Story
Originally, I created this page to support my mum through her chemotherapy, aiming to "brave the shave" in solidarity as she worried about her hair loss. However, my mum set a challenging target of £5000, partly because she didn't want me to part with my long locks, let alone shave my head. Tragically, just seven short months later, my mum lost her battle with pancreatic cancer, passing away at home, surrounded by loved ones.
As much as I hate to admit it, I share my mother's stubbornness. When I set my mind to something, I won't rest until I've achieved it. In light of this, I've embarked on an incredible challenge, one that has my mum shaking her head from above – I'm participating in a charity boxing event! Ironically, she never allowed me to box, citing my "pretty face" as a reason. Nevertheless, I've taken on the fight of my life to reach that elusive goal.
To date, we've raised an impressive £2978, hosted an amazing charity cake sale, and I even donated my hair to the Little Princess Trust. Despite these efforts, the £5000 target still eludes us.
Since it's been just over a year since my last donation and haircut, my hair is now long enough to make another contribution to the Little Princess Trust, in addition to braving the shave.
So, together, we can make a difference. Your support, whether through donations or simply sharing my story, can help us reach our goal and have a positive impact on those facing pancreatic cancer. Thank you for standing with us in this fight.
Much love
