Local Landmarks Lymo Lockdown Challenge

Local Landmarks Challenge · 31 December 2020 ·
I came up with this idea when a friend ran past our house and just seeing her face gave me such a smile during this period of lock down. It got me thinking wouldn’t it be great if we could all run a route at the same time, raise a bit of money for charity and in addition give us all a little pick me up as we run past and wave at one another :) I started searching for events online and came across the London Landmarks Challenge. Their lead charity is Tommy’s Charity who do a wonderful job working alongside the NHS to try to prevent loss during pregnancy. Personally I have so many friends who have been affected by miscarriage and I found the charity provided some really good links to research when I myself was pregnant and looking for safety information.
So at 9am on Saturday the 2nd of May we will set off on a route of about 5k around Lymington (all starting at different points so social distance is maintained). One lap, two laps, three? There’s no limit, but we’ll have a sense of being together and as we pass one another we’ll wave, we’ll smile and at the same time raise some money for this wonderful charity.
