Story
Hello! Thanks for coming to our page.
Football Beyond Borders supports young people from disadvantaged backgrounds who are passionate about football but disengaged at school, in order to help them finish school with the skills and grades to make a successful transition into adulthood.
We'd love to be able to help FBB make a difference for as many young people as possible. The money raised will help fund the FBB Virtual School this summer.
Coronavirus has hit charities especially hard. With all of the large fundraising events (such as marathons) being cancelled, it's an incredibly difficult time for charities to raise funds to support important work. Originally this page was set up for the Brighton marathon, and then another ultra marathon, both canceled.
The three of us will be completing a socially distanced, self-supported 100 mile run, starting at 7pm on July 11th, around the 330m running track in Spa Gardens, SE1. Our goal is to finish in under 20 hours.
This will be an insane challenge, physically and mentally. 100 miles on the feet is a test of fitness, pain management and resilience. We've no doubt that it will be hard, but together we'll get through it, and we hope to raise funds through this effort as part of the FBB 2020 challenge.
To get involved in the FBB 2020 challenge, we'd like you to complete a run, walk or cycle between June 12th - July 12th. Once completed, please donate a pound for every mile moved. In our run, every 20 miles, we'll stop and donate £20 each.
Every donation is hugely appreciated. This is an awesome charity making a huge difference in the lives of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Thanks for reading!
