This year I will be running the Edinburgh Marathon in aid of Children's First Scotland on the 30th May 2021.

Children's First provide support and advice to families and children in a variety of circumstances across Scotland. This can range from practical advice around families struggling with education or finances, all the way to  supporting survivors of abuse, neglect, and other traumatic events experienced in childhood.

Now more than ever in the current climate, charties such as Children's First are experiencing a shortage in opportunities for fundraising to meet the significant increase in demand for their services. Their work must not go unnoticed or unsupported in these challenging times.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 restrictions the race will have to be completed virtually, meaning that all hoping to complete the marathon must do so on their own in a separate location to the actual race. Nevertheless, I am continuing to train hard and will be running the marathon on an appropriate route on the scheduled date of the event. I have yet to decide on this location, however Scotland has no shortage of fantastic areas and routes to make the most out of this.
