Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
The inaugural Bart’s Bash is a sailing race that will be run by sailing clubs all around the world on behalf of the charity, the Andrew Simpson Sailing Foundation. Each sailing club will sail an individual Bart’s Bash race at their location as part of "The Largest Sailing Race in 24 Hours (Multiple Venues)" Guinness World Record attempt on Sunday 21 September 2014. It is the major fundraising event for the Foundation and they are asking people to raise money to support their charitable work.
Inspired by double Olympic medallist Andrew “Bart” Simpson, the Andrew Simpson Sailing Foundation helps young people to develop the personal skills that will improve their ability to succeed in life and to improve access to jobs and careers within the maritime sector. Our activity principally focuses on young people between the age of 5 and 24, and we work to realise the opportunities presented by the unique combination of the challenge of time on the water with life changing inspiration and encouragement.
