Story

I am taking on the 13 mile trek in memory of my lovely Nanny who sadly passed away in August 2021. As a family, we witnessed first hand what a cruel disease dementia is and how devastating it is for everyone involved. Nanny loved walking (and line dancing) and would be very proud of us for taking on this challenge.

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
