Story

I am walking from Rome to Jerusalem with the focus on Peace and Reconciliation. I intend to leave Rome in July 2015 and plan to arrive in Jerusalem sometime in December.

I am writing to many people from different walks of life, religions, politics, etc asking for a message of peace which I will take with me as I walk. I will also walk with a book for people to sign. I will wear a symbol of peace, and will engage with as many people before, during, and after my walk, to get as much exposure as I can, and to help raise the profile and awareness of peace in the world.

I have chosen the charity "Children of Peace" because of the work they do, funding many organisations that help children in Israel and Palestine.

Children of Peace is a non-partisan, multi-faith charity dedicated to building friendship, trust and reconciliation between Israeli and Palestinian children, aged 4-17, and their communities. Its aim is to develop a shared spirit via arts, education, health and sports programmes, so future generations might live and work peacefully side-by-side.
