Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We want to raise money for Parkinsons because not only is it a great cause, but also because it became personal when 3 years ago Keith was diagnosed and since then we've seen just how much good work is done to help people live through this disease, but also because we've seen how much work is yet to be done. Keith has played many roles in our family, Father, Grandad, Friend, Advisor, and this is our way of trying to help.

Debbie has never run this distance before but is training hard throughout the summer, supported by Gibbo whose famous 'dodgy knee guvnor' means that Ladbrokes are even now running a book on whether he finishes on Debbies back. Paul is just an old git who's training on the South Downs of West Sussex and is rumoured to have lost his Northern-ness to such a degree that if the wind is off the North Sea that day he will freeze!

We chose JustGiving for our site because it's simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thanks so much for reading. We know times are hard, so whatever you can give is good - and if you Gift Aid it then even more goes to Parkinsons. We really appreciate it!

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
