Payton’s 40 for February · 1 February 2021

Be More Ruby is a Special Named Fund at CCLG, raising funds for research into rhabdomyosarcoma.

Story

I'm supporting Super Ruby's Rhabdo Raiser.

Payton has come up with the idea of ‘40 for February’ which means covering 40 miles during the month of February by walking, running, scooting or cycling.

She came up with this idea by herself and said she doesn’t want boys and girls to have cancer - Payton attends Racquet Buddies which Ruby also attended, and proudly sports the ‘Be More Ruby’ logo on her T-shirt each week, and so is keen for any money raised to be donated to Ruby’s fund. It couldn’t be a more perfect tribute as there are so many similarities between both girls including wanting to help others, having hearts of gold and putting a smile on people’s faces 🥰

We would love to not only have the Racquet Buddies community to be involved and keep active throughout the month of February, but the wider community and beyond!! For a family to join us, the donation is £20 towards Super Ruby’s Rhabdo Raiser, with the option of sponsorship from family members and friends to really top up our fundraising efforts!!

A huge well done to Payton for coming up with this super idea, and as Ruby’s mum, Claire, has said, Ruby would be so proud!! Ruby has left a lasting legacy, so let’s back Payton’s ‘40 for February’ and smash our target!!
