Story
A few weeks ago, Paul, our relationship manager for the East Midlands, was diagnosed with a form of cancer that was deemed inoperable; a diagnosis that was devastating for him, his family and for everyone that cared so deeply for him.
For everyone that knew Paul, this truly is extremely sad news to hear.
Paul has been with Scape for over a decade and for us, he was the very embodiment of who we should all aspire to be.
Paul was kind, gentle, always making time for people and taking the time to say hello. He didn’t just hear what you had to say; he really listened. He was constantly encouraging, supportive and always found a way to lift you up. He exuded a warmth, a generosity of spirit and a genuine interest in the things that his colleagues were working on and the things that mattered to them.
He also loved Scape. Who we are, what we stand for and the things we do to make the world a better place. And he was fantastic at his job. He was relentlessly proactive and enthusiastic in his work, his care for his clients and his efforts to help others. He would dedicate as much time as was needed to help people learn new things, sharing his knowledge and expertise to help others grow.
Paul was a huge supporter of charitable work and giving, and always the first to support his colleagues' activities.
In his memory, we are raising funds to help Cancer Research UK complete vital research to help enable earlier diagnoses and more rapid treatment for people in the future.
We would welcome any donations, and invite you all to leave your messages and comments on the page too, as these may be shared with Paul's family at an appropriate time.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Angela and his family, his friends, colleagues old and new and everyone who knew him. He will be very deeply missed.
Rest in peace, Paul.
