Story
Paul sadly passed away in April 2014 whilst cycling home from work. He was found to have had an undiagnosed cardiac condition called ARVC. Paul was just 34 years old and his son (James) 7 months old. His loss has devastated his family and friends.
Paul loved sport of all kinds. As a Physiotherapist, Paul enjoyed his work with elite athletes including England Hockey and British Athletics. On a personal level, he was an incredibly fit and active man, completing 7 marathons with a best time of 3:01:02 and cycling wherever and whenever he could.CRY have been a huge source of support following our tragic loss, providing cardiac screening to Paul's parents and siblings as well as bereavement support. They will be screening James when he is older to check whether he is at risk.
CRY are committed to reducing the frequency of young sudden cardiac death through cardiac screening and research. as well as raising awareness of sudden cardiac death in the community.
We are so very grateful for the input which we have had from CRY so far and we would like to contribute towards their ongoing research into cardiac conditions as well as their regular screening programmes.
