Story
Paul Jacobs GM and Mike Hobbs (his guide) are running the 13.1 mile Great North Run in Newcastle on 18th Sept. Thanks to all for the generosity so far. £1000 target beaten. We'd love to break through £2000 !
Since losing his sight whilst serving in Afghanistan in 2009 Paul has been a massive inspiration to many people through his sheer grit & determination. For his bravery in action Paul was awarded the George Medal by the Queen. SInce then he has raised thousands for charity through his various endeavours, like climbing Kilamanjaro in March this year.
It's Paul 1st time in the world's greatest half marathan and Mike's 6th so the guiding should be good (!!) and the laughter a plenty !
Bring on the day ! Mike is humbled to guide Paul along the 13.1 miles enjoying his unique inspirational sense of humour. We're ready, we won't fall over and the people of Newcastle are safe !
