I’m taking part in Target 50 this January to raise funds and awareness in aid of Target Ovarian Cancer, the UK's leading ovarian cancer charity. They target what’s important to stop ovarian cancer devastating lives – that means symptoms awareness, life-saving early diagnosis, better treatments and support for everyone affected by ovarian cancer.

This month (December), my Mum would have been 90! She died of ovarian cancer at the age of 61 years and 8 months, which is the age I will be in January. I regularly run 20 miles plus each week so I am aiming to run 100 miles in January rather than the Target 50!
