Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hello everyone and YIPPEE I DID IT AND NEARLY AN HOUR FASTER, it was an amazing day and despite a few minor problems a poorly foot and the cold rain that appeared from nowhere just before the off, fantastic.

The support from all was tremendous and never fails to lift the spirits, apart from dropping the mobile at 2 miles and turning back into the sea of runners, very scary, it was a pleasure. The music was excellent and i am sure i embarrassed rall by dancing at all the musical support positions on root.

Many thanks to all on our BEAT team runners and all who came along and  braved the London crowds and transport. This year i actually managed to meet husband and son on route and it is a real up lifter to have that support .

Emma  and Emma thanks great to see you both and the of course Luke you are a star, the pub was scrumptious, Ian always a friendly and encouraging hug.

I LOVE THE MARATHON. WOULD I GO AGAIN, FOREVER IT IS QUITE QUITE THE VERY BEST.

CHARLOTTE THANK YOU THE VERY VERY BEST OF DAUGHTERS LOVE YOUXX

WILLIAM THANKS X YOU AND I ONE OF THESE DAYS

Hello, here i am again, Wellies on and ready to go, i enjoyed last year so much i thought i would try again .

This year  i will be running, proberly quite slowly in my wellies in memory of my lovely daughter Charlotte, who we all miss so very much.

At just 18, Charlotte lost her fight against the awlful illness which is Anorexia. I/We her family will always be in shock that this terrible illness crept up and took over her life. I could talk for ever of her qualities , her ambition, kindness of heart, her hard work and that amazing heart, that smile and the  brilliant mind that had led her to do so very much in such a short life.

I will forever be in awe of her and love her forever for loving and caring so much about us all.

This year as i pull on those wonderful Le Chameau wellies, make sure the socks don't fall down and the supply of jelly babies is constant , ( the secret to a succesful marathon run ) i think of the amazing friends, ( a gift a friend said from our lovely children to help us cope without them ) and thank them for their continued support, you all know who you are xx

A big thanks go to my dear husband for supporting me with my running , and a super big hug and thank you to William, Charlotte's brother for joining me in my training on his bike after a long day at school.

The dog , pippa will join me on some runs but  after 5/6 miles, she is just not fast enough ( sorry pip just joking )

Oh by the way, a funny thing happened whilst out training , the police stopped me to make sure i was okay,  i can quite understand a middle-aged woman running in wellies, takes some explaining !!

I am ever grateful for the generosity that is shown by sponsorship when there are so many calls on funds, and i do appreciate the support shown and thank you all for caring, all i can add is GO TEAM BEAT!!
