Story
We have made it and completed the Great Glen Way on Saturday 25th June 2011!
Never again but the thing that kept me going was Chris pushing me constantly and the fact that I was raising money for a good cause.
I think I must have walked 20 miles of it uphill pushing my bike as the first 2 sections from Inverness to Invermoriston were my worst nightmare - it seemed to be constantly uphill! When we finally got to the canal sections the wind appeared strongly against us. Still at least it did not rain and it was not too hot.
Thanks to everyone who have supported us financially and physically - my husband Willie who followed us all the way back with the campervan, Gilbert and Karen for putting us up on Friday night (Gilbert cycled the first section to Invermoriston with us and Karen was there waiting and cooking the bacon rolls), Tracey and other family members for their emotional support and believing that I could do it.
