Story
My name is Paul and I have always been a big supporter of charity work, this is due to my Great Grandparents being big lovers of helping others in need. They mostly carried this out through charity work, which they would donate quite often, this was something I always felt inspired by this and wanted to follow in their footsteps! So over the years, I have helped organise events to raise money towards different causes, MacMillan Cancer, Stroke Associate, British Heart Foundation and Cancer Research. I did have plans to climb Kilimanjaro but unfortunately due to family health reason I had to put that plan on hold until next year. I will be running this marathon and representing the high school that I work at (Outwood Academy Shafton, Barnsley) along the way! The school has been really supportive with helping me prepare for this chapter in my money raising adventure! If you wish to know more about the reason behind why I do so much charity work, you are more than welcome to find me on Facebook and ill be more than happy to answer any questions. I will keep everyone up to date on my journey as I train for this marathon. But I would like to say a huge thanks to everyone for supporting my fundraising. Macmillan Cancer Support is here to help everyone with cancer live life as fully as they can, providing physical, financial and emotional support.
