Yemen was already facing the worst humanitarian disaster in the world before Covid-19 made its plight even worse. According to Oxfam, “millions of people in Yemen are one step away from famine and are struggling with catastrophic levels of hunger alongside conflict, Covid and cholera”.  

While the UK Government are cutting aid spending, as a people we can act. That’s why I’ve joined with Save the Children to launch an appeal to support some of the most vulnerable families in the world. As we prepare for the challenges of the New Year here in Sheffield, let’s make a difference for those facing unimaginable hardship.
