Story

Brendan, my husband, has finally finished his 6/6 rounds of PCV chemo treatment!! No more poisoning!!! He did the full 6 rounds at full dose with no breaks, he has been amazing. It has been tough and he is still suffering with fatigue episodes.

So in 2023 Brendan ran Newport Marathon 16/4 in under 4 hours, 14/5 ran Bristol half marathon, 10/6 he was on a 200km bike ride when his friend made him stop as he was leaning to one side and had back ache. 22/6 he couldn’t walk in a straight line and a mass was discovered in his brain. 12/7 nearly all of the primary brain tumour, named Oligodendroglioma Grade 3, was removed in an Awake Craniotomy. 33 days of Radiotherapy and then 6 x 6 weeks cycles of PVC Chemo ending on Tuesday 9/7/24!! Phew what a year!Feels a strange anniversary.

So here goes, my aim is to cycle 274 miles in August and to raise money towards £2740 which is the cost of a day of research at one of the Brain Tumour research centres.

Please help my motivation by either joining in or by donating.
