Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As many of you know my Mum, Ruby died from Motor Neurone Disease in 2007 at the age of 64. A bloody hard worker, she had just reached a time in her life when she should have been easing up a little, if that was at all possible! She loved to paint, and to socialise, and was passionate about the "roaring game" of curling. But cruelly she was diagnosed with MND and the prospect of enjoying her "retirement" was quickly extinguished. Now that I have 2 children of my own, I realise just how much time, effort and love my Mum put into raising my 3 siblings and me while Dad was out all day working on the farm. So after running 6 miles on Mum's birthday in May, I thought, well I'm sure I'm able to run 13.1 miles so just get off your arse and do The Great Scottish Run in October! So here I am again, fitting in training runs between work and looking after my 2 wee girls. And hoping that along the way, I can raise a wee bit more money in memory of Mum, to help those currently living with MND and to help find a cure.xxx
