Story
A year ago, I had my worst bike accident to date resulting in a fractured arm, badly sprained wrists and internal bleeding - fun not!! As soon as I was able to, I was back in the pool for strength training to rehabilitate in order to get back on my bike and back to training.
As many of you know, I like to put my training to good use, so myself and my friend Liz Ainslie are now planning to cycle from Nice to Nimes for charity on the 13th September, 300 miles and 16,000 feet of climbing over 4 days for The Starr Trust, Day 3 will be a 9000 feet climb up Ventoux.
The premise of The Starr Trust is to remove roadblocks for young people to help them succeed and thrive in whatever they put their minds to. They help give young people a helping hand to achieve their goal when they need it most and encourage independent thinking, a social conscience and self-belief. This can change the trajectory of a young person’s life. They do this by supporting Individuals and groups with Financial Grants, Sharing Connections and Encouraging Success.
The Starr Trust are an independent, family-run charity. Their income comes entirely from community fundraising, events, and donations from generous companies and individuals like you :-)
