I'm a volunteer bereavement counselor at the Hospice of the Good Shepherd and my goal is to raise £2,000 for this worthwhile organisation by running the 2018 London Marathon next April.

Since starting at the hospice last November, I have been impressed and on many occasions moved by how the patients and their families are supported and cared for. The services and the palliative care the hospice offers is invaluable and makes a huge difference to the life's of all those involved. 

Above all I have been amazed by the positive and uplifting atmosphere at the hospice, and how friendly, dedicated and cheerful the staff are. The money I raise will go towards funding the valuable work of the hospice.
