We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

On 28th February 2016 I will be running the Cambridge Half Marathon for Cancer Research. I am running for Cancer Research as I lost my Nan to Bowel Cancer and my Mum is currently being very brave with her fight with Bowel Cancer. I also have friends and their families who have been affected by and continue to fight this awful disease.

Cancer Research is one of the world’s leading charity dedicated to beating cancer through research. They've saved millions of lives by discovering new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer, and survival has doubled over the past 40 years.

Everyday in the UK there are more than 400 people diagnosed with cancer that will survive the disease for more than 10 years thanks to research.

They fund research into more than 200 types of cancer from the most common –such as breast, bowel, lung and prostate cancers – to rare types of tumour and children’s cancers.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, please give as generously as you can afford.
