Story
In 2005, my husband's brother passed away from leukaemia. Tim was just 23 years old. Since then, his family and friends have worked tirelessly to raise money to support Blood Cancer UK. So far, they have raised over £500, 000 in memory of Tim and I want to continue their fund-raising efforts.
As I turned 30 this year, I thought that challenging myself to run a marathon would be a great way to mark this milestone and raise money for a very worthy cause.
Blood Cancer Uk is dedicated to beating blood cancer. They do this by funding research and supporting those affected. Since 1960, They've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. Right now, they are funding 360 researchers and staff across the UK who are searching for the next breakthrough. The day we will beat blood cancer is now in sight and the researchers are determined to finish the job.
