Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Spurred on by some very talented friends and colleagues I felt that I wanted to do my bit for those who suffer with Dementia, by supporting my local hospitals' trust's Dementia Appeal/Dementia Charity. It has been challenging but invigorating, getting out for my runs/sessions during the winter months but the light is coming, as is the end of the road, for this particular marathon, on 15th April. Although the the end feels a long way of off, now.
The other great benefit of training is that it has helped me to make sense of the madness of work and the busyiness of life, as well as getting fit again, after a number of years of finding excuses why I couldn't exercise. The 'feel good factor' can't be denied.
I did my long pre-marathon run today (20 miles) and I am going to need all the help that I can to get me round the course, even if it is lovely Brighton. It really is a long way! So please give what you can to support me in the Marathon and together we will do great things to support those who suffer with Dementia making their stay in hospital the best as it can be.
Thank you all very much,
Paula
