My name is Paula Lopes and I work for the "Shooting Star Children’s Hospice" , it's a great cause and I am very pleased and proud to be part of the team. The work we do is truly inspirational.

I will be travelling to, and exploring the desert landscape of Jordan, situated in the Arabian desert, and will be walking 50 km ( 31 miles ), for three days, which includes walks from the bottom of valley to the top of mountains, across deserts and narrow cliffs and dry river beds!

I am taking part in this Jordan trekking challenge, which I am dreading, in order to raise money for the Hospice ".

It will be a personal challenge for me also, as this will be my first trek... so wish me luck, I am going to need it !!! The training has already started and it's really hard work !!!
