Story

PLEASE NOTE: 70% of funds raised will go to Porchlight and 30% to Kent and Medway Charity Team.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

We all have different fears. I have many. As someone who has been made redundant in the past, and suffers from Mental Health issues, one thing that keeps coming back is the fear of homelessness. This is why I chose my charity.

I am doing an abseil as this will be a huge challenge for me. I often suffer from anxiety and mild agoraphobia and the idea of literally pushing myself over the edge is a powerful one for me. I am also scared of heights...

70% of the money I raise here will be going to Porchlight who work with homeless and vulnerable people in Kent. This work is really important, especially as the recession continues to bite, mental health services are squeezed, and living costs are increasing. The other 30% will be going to the Kent and Medway Charity team, who do a lot of work with children's road safety. Now there is no Green Cross Code man or Tufty Club, (showing my age!) this is important too.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
